Ian Plimer is Emeritus Professor of Earth Sciences at The University of Melbourne having served as a Chair at Melbourne, Adelaide, Munich, and Newcastle Universities. He has published 140 scientific papers, edited The Encyclopedia of Geology and has written 16 books for the general public, the best known of which were on climate change (Heaven and Earth and Green Murder).
